The Hayama Family Arc is the second arc in Kodocha. It goes from Chapter 3 to Chapter 6 in the manga, Episode 4 to Episode 7 of the anime. It's preceded by the Classroom Chaos Arc, and followed by the Rei and Asako Arc.
Sana Kurata succeeds in stopping Akito Hayama's reign of terror in their class, but in doing so learns of Akito's bad home-life. His sister blames him for the death of their mother, and his dad is busy with work and unsure of how to navigate being a singular parental figure. Sana is disturbed that such a family can exist, and concocts a plan to "fix" the family by having them watch the movie she's acting in.
