Summary[]

Tsuyoshi's parents have gotten a divorce, and Akito and Sana help him move. After Tsuyoshi is bullied, Aya confesses her feelings for Tsuyoshi - which are reciprocated.

Plot[]

Akito is uncharacteristically frantic about everything, and explains to Sana that Tsuyoshi's parents got a divorce, and that the school called his house and his father answered saying he didn't know where his (now ex) wife and children were, so Akito wants to go to Tsuyoshi's (now former) house and figure out what's going on. The two arrive, and Tsuyoshi's dad is dismissive and careless about Tsuyoshi, Aono, and his ex-wife, which enrages Sana and Akito. Mr. Ohki injures Akito, and Sana drags him out of there before he can get in a fight with him. Outside, Akito muses how he never knew Tsuyoshi's dad was like that, and that he noticed Tsuyoshi had bruises lately... and wonders if they were from his dad. While they discuss this, Sana tends to the forehead wound Akito got from Mr. Ohki, Akito pats Sana's chest - infuriating her. Since they don't have any leads on where Tsuyoshi would be, so assume that he'll just call one of them when he can. Akito decides to visit his dad since the hospital he's at currently is nearby. When they arrive at the hospital, Tsuyoshi is there visiting, shocking the two.

The three have a conversation where Tsuyoshi explains he saw the divorce coming, and that they're moving into a new place. Sana offers for she and Akito to help, and calls Rei to help as well. As the group help Tsuyoshi's family move in, Aono doesn't seem to grasp the situation, continually asking where their father is (which Tsuyoshi tries to respond lightly to). Sana muses that divorce may be hard, but life with his dad must have been worse, and that she's glad he got out of that situation.

As Sana and the group leave, Tsuyoshi thanks them, but starts crying. He pleads for them not to tell his mom or sister, and Sana promises and asks if she can do anything to help. He responds affectionately towards Sana (which angers Akito) wherein Tsuyoshi backtracks that he was joking. The two affirm that they're there for him to talk, and as they leave, Tsuyoshi seems happy.

In the car ride home, Akito mentions out loud how all dads are different, thinking of his dad and Tsuyoshi's dad. He then asks about Sana's dad, prompting Rei to bring the car to a screeching halt, and dragging Akito out of the car. Rei explains to Akito that he shouldn't ask that, as he once asked Sana and her mom, and they gave him a scary glare, so he assumes they don't want to talk about it. Meanwhile, Sana in the car tells the two that she doesn't have a father. Akito asks if her mom was ever married, and Sana responds that she was married for two years but got divorced. Akito says that must be Sana's dad, but Sana rejects this, and mentions that she promised her mom not to talk about it. They drop Akito off at his house, and leave.

Arriving home, Aya Sugita is visiting Sana's house (surprising Sana). She's worried about Tsuyoshi, but Sana explains everything to her quelling her worries. The next day at school, Tsuyoshi explains how his last name is changing from Ohki to Sasaki because of his parents divorce. Sana is proud of Tsuyoshi, meanwhile some classmates start bullying him.

Initally, Akito and Sana are going to reprimand them, but before they can, Aya screams at them. Hisae teases Aya for liking Tsuyoshi, and instead of denying it, she yells that she likes him. The class murmurs about how theres a love triangle since Tsuyoshi likes Sana, and Aya likes Tsuyoshi, which prompts Sana to ask why Tsuyoshi likes her in the first place. He explains that last year on valentines day, she gave him some chocolate! Meanwhile Sana, confused because she doesn't recall it, realizes she gave random people in the hallway leftovers because she had made too much chocolate.

Akito talks to both Tsuyoshi and Aya, encouraging Tsuyoshi that Aya is better for him, and telling Aya that Tsuyoshi likes gifts, citing the valentine's example. Because of this, Aya gives Tsuyoshi some homemade cookies for Tsuyoshi's birthday (which is the next day). This prompts Tsuyoshi to do a 180 and tell Sana that he doesn't have feelings for her anymore and that he's going out with Aya now. Sana is shocked at how fast Tsuyoshi's feelings changed, and after Aya tells Sana that the cookies idea was told to her by Akito, Sana is more shocked at his kindness. Akito meanwhile elsewhere, Akito chuckles at eliminating "both rivals" (Rei and now Tsuyoshi).

Author's Notes[]

Obana's Incoherent Babbling "Hello! It's me, Obana! How are you doing? So, I made it to a third book thanks to all of your support! I can't believe I've kept the series going for over a year. It isn't easy, but I'm having fun doing it. I can tell from all the great fan mail you send that you all love the series – but I think I love it even more than you! Hee-hee. When these books are put together from the original comics, I tried to fix things. But I confess, sometimes I just leave them, because it's so much work! (Sorry!) so just enjoy them the way they are. Hee-hee. For example: I drew Misako's book backwards. Things like that. I checked the pages over and over but still I keep missing things. Man..."

What's Up With Me "I've been working so hard lately, I'm constantly spacing out while I draw. I just don't think about anything. It's like I become a drawing robot or some thing. Am I ok? I don't know if I'm going forward or backward, but I kinda like it. It's a good thing, I think.

Sometimes, I suddenly snap.

I guess I'm only human. When I have nothing on my mind, it's hard for me to come up with the things to say in these extra spaces. I have to try and write things down when I'm focused!"
