Kodomo no Omocha (translated and said literally as Child's Toy in the Funimation dub of the anime) is a show Sana Kurata consistently acts in. In the manga it's hosted by Yonma Akashiya, while in the anime it's hosted by Zenjiro. Also in the anime, Hiroshi Uchiyamada is another actor whom appears. The show is structured as a classroom, where the host asks students questions. The show is a parody of Appare!

In the manga, Kodomo no Omocha is more transparently a parody of Appare! a real life variety show that aired during the time Kodocha was being made. The premise of the show is the same, and the host, Yonma Akashiya is a transparent parody of the real life host of Appare, Sanma Akashiya. Sana attending Kodomo no Omocha recordings is shown far less in the manga, when compared to the anime.

In the anime, Kodomo no Omocha is hosted by Zenjiro, and has Sana and Hiroshi appearing as reoccurring students. The show ends in Episode 66, but is revived (under the shortened name "Kodocha") in Episode 94. In general, Kodomo no Omocha is shown much more frequently in the anime.
