Main Characters[]
Hiroto Suzuhara[]
Played by Naozumi Kamura, Hiroto is relentlessly bullied, causing him to make himself look "ugly" in an attempt to blend in. After his parents die in a car crash, he hires a private eye to find his brother who has been missing for 6 years, Masato. A clue leads him to finding Masato alive and living in a vila.
Masato Suzuhara[]
Played by Takamitsu Kawai, Hiroto Suzuhara went missing when he was 14 while out on a trip to his friend's villa. Unbeknownst to his family, he's been living there with Mako and Miwa all these years, unable to leave thanks to Mako's wrath. Hiroto is addicted to herbs that only grow near the villa, and is unnervingly thin thanks to them.
Miwa Nakagawa[]
Played by Asako Kurumi, Miwa went missing when she was 14 while out on a trip to her family's villa. Unbeknownst to her family, she's been living there with Hiroto and Mako all these years, unable to leave thanks to Mako's wrath.
Mako Sonoda[]
Played by Sana Kurata, Mako went missing when she was 14 while out on a trip to her friend's villa. Before then, she and Masato dated, but there was tension since Miwa also had feelings for him. On the villa trip, the three get in a fight, causing Mako to pass out - wherein Miwa and Masato assume they killed her. They use rocks to sink her body in the lake, which is assumed by Masato in retrospect to be her true cause of death. She manifests as a ghost, and holds Masato and Miwa captive in the villa - constantly reminding them of how they're guilty of her murder. In the end, she strangles Masato, and lights the villa on fire.
Minor Characters[]
Genta Sakuma[]
The private eye Hiroto hires to find Masato. He finds the information Hiroto wanted, but intends to discourage him to pursue the leads when Genta learns it's dangerous. Unfortunately, this information comes to light too late.
Miwa's Grandfather[]
A botanist. He created crops that can only be grown on the soil near his villa (the villa of which, only he knows about, and is where Masato, Miwa, and Mako have been living for the last 6 years), including an herb that is addictive, and causes hallucinations, and aggression among other things. He is stricken with guilt over creating such terrible things, which drives him to commit suicide.
