Mr. Sakai, his first name unknown, is the husband of Keiko and father of Mariko. He owns a laundromat, which he works in with his wife.

He is quiet and doesn't speak up often, but when his daughter disappears, his personality changes completely, and he instantly goes to every measure to find her. In doing so, he meets Sana for the first time, and punches Zenjiro in the face when he thinks he's kidnapping his daughter. Afterwards they make up, and he goes back to his happy self.
