The Tankōbon Edition of the Kodocha manga (sometimes called the First Edition is the most widely available version of the manga. The TokyoPop english translation is just a translated version of it.

- It's the only version to have ten volumes, with the Kanzenban Edition, and Bunkoban Edition having more chapters per volume, therefore condensing it down to seven.
- It converts color spreads to black and white. The only version to not do this is the kanzenban edition (as well as the original printings in Ribon magazine).
- The books in the tankōbon edition are in between the sizes of the kanzenban and bunkoban editions, with the books being approximately 13 cm × 19 cm (or 5 in × 7.5 in). See size comparison between other editions below.
