Zenjiro is a reoccurring character who hosts the titular show, Kodomo no Omocha (Child's Toy).
History[]
In the manga, Kodomo no Omocha (Child's Toy) is less frequently shown, and is more transparently a parody of Appare!, a real life variety show that has the same classroom premise. Yonma Akashiya is the host of the show, and is a transparent parody of the real life host of Appare, Sanma Akashiya (even in name). When making the anime, the decision was made to replace Yonma's character with the real life actor Zenjiro (meaning he was voiced by Zenjiro, and added to the idea of Sana being an actress by having a real life actor exist alongside her).
Appearance[]
Zenjiro has sideburns that curl upward and had a large over bite of three to four teeth. He most likely to be sporting a and ugly suit of a dark blue coat a green shirt and a purple tie.
Personality[]
He is commonly seen suffering comically due to always being the one to get hurt in situations, and never being able to get a woman except Sumirei Ando, whom he finds very unattractive.
Biography[]
He consistently gets into trouble with either the media or old women tracking him down and following him everywhere. He tries to sneak away, but ends up always getting caught in the end. Near the middle of the series, Kodomo no Omocha gets cancelled, and he is forced to take the new job as host of 'Old-Lady's Toy', where he suffers more than ever as the women torture him constantly. Near the end of the series, he and Sana re-join forces, and convince the T.V. station to bring back Kodomo no Omocha. Back in his new job, he is much happier, even if his job still entails getting hurt.

He is very friendly with Sana, and the two more than once embark on hi-jinks together.

- In the opening intro of most of the first season, he is shown being buzzed by Sana's Burutcha, despite never receiving one in the series.
